:) The crowd was cookin’ and Montage was HOT!

People we haven’t seen for a bit came to great us again and strut their stuff on the dance floor…er.Asphalt. What a Great gig! Tons of people, food and DANCING by one of Milwaukee’s Best Bands - Montage! We had a blast, the music was tight and the crowd responsive! We will be back! Now, we performed and were welcomed by over 300 people and many dancers who showed us how much they enjoyed our music. Montage was scheduled to perform at the Germantown Pavilion but then Covid struck. They told us they loved the variety of music, the way we interacted with ourselves AND the crowd, but most of all - we brought the FUN(k) with the music!Ĭome see what Montage is all about. Interesting enough, we brought the Funk and the Disco to this little slice of the Fair and people took quite the interest. When we started up, we immediately drew in people to our little tent called the “Do Drop In”. Great fair, great people, great dancing and GREAT MUSIC from Montage. Montage keeps the info in our records for those places that want references from good people like you!!

#Montage food cart mac
“I took all the mac and cheese over with us to the cart because that’s kinda what we were known for and then the jambalaya,” Ingwood recalled.Greetings! Welcome to the Montage Website!

Just two months later, Ingwood and owner Scot Abplanalp launched Montage Ala Cart. Ingwood said he decided then to figure out a way to keep the restaurant going somehow. Like many Portland restaurants, Montage couldn’t survive COVID-19 restrictions. People thought it was a spot that nobody knew about - that everybody knew about, you know,” said Ingwood. They put leftovers in elaborate tinfoil sculptures. Tucked beneath the Morrison Bridge on Portland’s East Side, Montage was known for Cajun food, mac and cheese, and staying open weekends until 4 a.m. The Hawthorne Asylum food cart pod on SE 10th and Madison is a journey into nostalgia and a peek into the future of a legendary Portland restaurant: Montage Ala Cart.ĭerek Ingwood was the head chef at Le Bistro Montage for the last five years of its 27-year run. (KOIN) - More than a few of Portland’s best-known restaurants have closed for good due to the pandemic but one popular restaurant found new life by joining the Portland food cart scene.
